2026 North Idaho State Fair

Wow. What a whirlwind the last 2 weeks have been! From setup, to 10 full days of fair, to teardown, to recovery. It wouldn’t have been possible without all of you!

Preparation started months ahead of time. With this being my first year in business as Wears The Faith, I got as many markets under my belt as possible before the fair so I could have a good idea of what to expect. On top of that, I have to make sure I had enough inventory on hand with enough displays to hold it all!

I need to give a huge THANK YOU to my family for all their love and support. My dad and husband doing most of the heavy lifting and often watching kids. My mom and 2 bigs helping during the fair; along with Adria and Kristeen helping me on Saturday when my family was busy. And a huge shoutout to CDA Kids who had the bounce houses across from my spot, charged us one time and allowed my kids to play all 10 days, whenever they were at the fair-extremely generous!!!

And, of course, all of you! Everyone who stopped by and said hi, all the new faces, conversations and prayers, and purchases made remind me why I do it. Not to mention everyone behind the scenes. Those of you who interact with my social media posts, sent a message, visited the website, subscribed to emails, and have already made a purchase since the fair! I couldn’t do it without any of you!

The most popular question people seem to have for me now is: was it what you expected? And, honestly, I didn’t know what to expect. This is the largest event I’ve ever done. I was hoping to end in the green, which I did. I was hoping to make a positive impact, which I hope I did-I think I did…for the most part(the name threw some people off). I was just trying to be obedient to the calling God has placed on my life. Were there things I could’ve done better? Of course! There always will be. But I think it was a great first year and I’m excited to do it again. And so are the kids, so I think that’s a win!

Highlight: on one of my lowest purchase/profit days(I was actually in the red that day), my husband and I got to pray for a couple who had less than a week until the husband left for bootcamp. At the time of writing this blog, he’s already there. So please keep them in your prayers! But we were able to talk to them about our experience with military life, lift them up and encourage them, and give them advice and pointers. It was a really special connection we made with them.

So what’s next? I guess, in a way, I’m taking a bit of a break from events. With back to school, and kid’s sports, I won’t have time for another event until the end of October. My next event on the books is the Rebel Junk Holiday Market at the Kootenai County Fairgrounds on November 6 & 7!

It helps the algorithm, boosts my posts more, and gets them in front of as many people as possible. Afterall, my mission is the make sure everyone wears the faith.
